Ed Swires-Hennessy was a member of the Government Statistical Service (GSS) of the United Kingdom for 38 years and is now an independent consultant and teacher. His specialist area is the presentation of data in all types of media. He teaches in the Professional Development Centre of the Royal Statistical Society and within government departments. He has had a keen interest in electronic dissemination of statistics for over ten years. This website was created as a direct result of a monthly feature about statistics on the net in the GSS in-house magazine, STATus, and carries all the reviews. In addition to the published reviews, Ed has carried out others, by request, for local, national and international organisations: all of the reviews are written from a user perspective.
